Helpful Holidays: The Foundation Stone for this Wesleyan Chapel was laid in June 1867. 150 years ago!
The estimate shows the cost to be £355.0.0. Seats were rented out to pay for this but the Trustees thought that 1/- was too high and kept the congregations small. The charge was reduced to 6d. in the body of the chapel and 9d for the four back rows. A Sunday Schoolroom at the rear of the building was also used as a dinner room by the Primary School.
