Adding an Image

To link an image to your post you need first to find a suitable picture on an existing website or post one to an image-based social media account such as instagram. You can then embed this as a captioned hyperlink icon by copying the picture’s url link into the box that pops up when you click on the IMG tab on the text menu (make sure it’s the picture’s url, not the whole web page). This post includes two images of a bullfinch taken from the RSPB’s instagram account. The forum relies on links rather than allowing you to upload images directly to the site in order to minimise the dedicated file space. Although it allows you to add a caption this is not in fact displayed with the image – you need to do  add any text manually as well if you want it to appear as a caption.
